About

I'm Mike, a first-year Arts & Humanities student. I have worked in IT for the past six years, but history has always been my greatest passion.

While living in Paris for a couple of months, that feeling became much stronger. I was constantly surrounded by beautiful art, deep history and a city full of things to see and do. It made me decide to finally do something with that passion.

I also realised that I'm interested in much more than history: art history, philosophy, creative writing, linguistics, classical studies, you name it.

When I started my studies, it was immediately clear that I enjoy writing. I haven't developed the full skill set yet, but I want to keep improving. That is why I made Polymath Letters: every Sunday at 9:00 I publish an essay on the subject I'm currently studying, and I invite you to come along.

Writers, I'd love your tips. Fellow enthusiasts, let's talk. I hope this becomes a place to share our passions, and a personal journal where I can look back on my progress.
